Santa

Y1 and Y2 had a great time visiting Fenwicks window and meeting Santa Claus.

The children enjoyed looking at Fenwicks window. This year it was based around Gullivers Travels.

All of the children were able to speak to Santa about how good they had been or not!

After singing to Santa we had a good look around the toy shop. Just to make sure we had everything on our list!

We had some yummy juice and biscuits in the cafe.

Finally we sang some carols at the Nativity Scene in Eldon Square.

Carols for the Community Centre

Children and staff from Reception to Year 5 went to Brandling Community Centre this afternoon to sing carols and songs from their Christmas plays.

There was a lovely atmosphere at the Community Centre as young and old came together to celebrate Christmas.

The people at the Centre said how much they loved hearing us sing.

One lady said how she loved looking at the children's faces as they sang, 'They have such happy expressions'.

To thank us for our wonderful singing the children were given a drink and a snack. They all enjoyed themselves and behaved wonderfully!

The Sleeping Prince

Key Stage 2 performed their Christmas play, 'The Sleeping Prince' to an audience which was delighted with all the songs, dances and acting from all of the children.

The play this year was a pantomime, loosely based on the story of the Seeping Beauty.

The seven good fairies cast their spells on the royal prince whilst the eighth cursed him to an evil end.

Helped by the king's evil brother, the wicked fairy lures Charming to his fate.

In his dream charming meets a whole host of animals led by an escaped elephant called Nellie.

In a cottage in the woods he is entertained by the three funniest bears in the world and a wolf who hates porridge.

The only way out of the dream is for Charming to kiss one of the frogs. Which one is the princess?

Finally, it's left to the cleaners to tidy up after the panto...

Wizzy Wizard Gets a New Home

Thanks to parent and School Governor, Lee O'Neil, we now have a new mascot. Wizzy Wizard now has his new home at our school.

The Sleepy Shepherd

The children from the Nursery to Year 2 worked together with their wonderful teaching team to present 'The Sleepy Shepherd' for Christmas. All parents, family, friends and visitors said how wonderful they all were.
