Beamish Day Out!

Year 4/5 and Year 5/6 went to Beamish Open Air Museum to find out more about the 'Vile Victorians'.

Our topic this term has been the 'Vile Victorians' and went to Beamish to see how they really lived.
We saw the Dentists Surgery in the Town.

We went in the sweet shop, the co-op grocery store and Barclays bank too.

Then we caught the tram to go to the Colliery.

When we got to the Colliery Village, we went to the Board School and took part in a Victorian lesson!!
The boys and girls had to sit on opposite sides of the classroom, and we had to be very quiet because Miss Bromwich was very strict, just like a real Victorian teacher!

We had to sit with our arms folded and were punished if we spoke (not really, we were just pretending!)

We had a wonderful day at Beamish, and it helped us find out a lot of new information about the 'Vile Victorians'!!
