Takeover Day 2008
Today was National Takeover Day, where children have been given the opportunity to 'takeover' different responsibilities within school.
The school council decided which roles they would most like to takeover as part of a normal school day.
Some children took the role of Lunchtime Supervisor, and helped out in the dinner hall.
Other members of the council took over the school office. They answered the telephone, opened the mail and made sure the registers were correct.
These two Year 5/6 councillors took over our Friday assembly!
Later in the day, the school council took over story time in every class. It has been a very exciting and interesting day!

It was a brilliant day. The members of the school council really enjoyed their new roles in the school. I think the staff were very grateful for the extra help too!
