It was amazing to see veloceraptors, stegosaurus and tyrannosaurs up close!
The dinosaurs came very close, but we knew we were safe!

The crew ftom mission STS 119 came back from space 2 months ago, and kindly shared their experience with us. They arrived by helicopter.....
The five Astronauts came into the stadium by stretch limo and talked to us about their 13 weeks on the International Space Station in March this year.
The Astronauts; Lee, Tony, John, Steve and Joe answered all our questions and even shook our hands! We all want to be Astronauts now!!
We have been learning about lighthouses, and even built our own!
We made and tested our own ships.
Susan brought in a 'touch tank' full of real sea creatures for us to hold and look at!
We have really enjoyed our Fish & Ships project!!
Of course, we created our own unique version of the story. Our version had Pizza delivery men, talking trees, cool dancing angels and even a pop group: Girls Not Allowed!!
Our friends at Carr Hill Primary kindly let us use their school minibus to drive up and pick out a 7 foot tree. It took us a long time to find the perfect tree!
When we got back to school, we all helped to decorate it!

The school council decided which roles they would most like to takeover as part of a normal school day.
Other members of the council took over the school office. They answered the telephone, opened the mail and made sure the registers were correct.
These two Year 5/6 councillors took over our Friday assembly!
Later in the day, the school council took over story time in every class. It has been a very exciting and interesting day!
