This year Key Stages 1 and 2 joined together to produce one christmas production: Baboushka!
A group of lucky children were chosen to go to Chopwell Woods to choose our Christmas Tree this year.
Today was National Takeover Day, where children have been given the opportunity to 'takeover' different responsibilities within school.

This is the Year 3 girl who was the winner of the Brandling Balloon Race last term. She won a shopping trip worth £50.
She chose to go to the shops in Newcastle with Mrs Huggins. She bought toys, stationery and clothes and had a fantastic time. She couldn't wait to get back to school and show everyone her prizes!
Year 3 visited Bede's World in Jarrow to find out more about Anglo-Saxons and how they used to live.
The very talented children from our school put on two fantastic Christmas Productions this year.
The children in Reception and Key Stage One performed a traditional nativity play and the Key Stage Two children performed a Pantomime.

Children and staff from Reception to Year 5 went to Brandling Community Centre this afternoon to sing carols and songs from their Christmas plays.
Key Stage 2 performed their Christmas play, 'The Sleeping Prince' to an audience which was delighted with all the songs, dances and acting from all of the children.
PE lessons have been especially musical with the help of Donna from Heworth Grange School.
Year 3/4 had a fantastic trip to Beamish Open Air Museum last Monday. We were looking at mining and how life was lived almost 100 years ago.
Y3/4, with the help of Miss Hopkins and textile artist Karen Clough, have begun a project linked with Beamish Museum to celebrate the tradition of quilt making.
